The chorus performs different genres of music, including classical, folk, jazz, and pop music. The chorus' mission is to challenge preconceptions about music and society. It serves not only as a chorus, but also as a social network. They have an open access policy, which allows anyone to join regardless of sexual identity and skill. New members are voice-tested upon joining; they are not required to proceed with a formal audition.
